Coimbatore, June 21: Aravind KP, representing TVS Racing, won both motos in Class 1 - SX 1 - Group "A" Stroke 2/4 Upto 250cc/ 500cc and emerged as the Best Rider of the Race in the second round of the MRF MOGRIP FMSCI National Supercross Championship here on Sunday. Aravind had also won in the first round in Ahmedabad. His team-mate AW Tanveer finished second, while Jignesh Patel finished third.
Aravind emerged as the winner in the Class 3 - Indian Experts - Group "B" Stroke 2/4 Upto 260cc race as well.
The other highlight of the day was the double win by Suhail Ahmed.
Hyderabad, June 20, 2015: Shahan Ali Mohsin clinched both heats in the Micro Max category (10 laps) on day one of the first round of the 12th JK Tyre-FMSCI National Rotax Max Karting Championship at the Chicane Circuit here on Saturday. While he won the first race by a narrow margin from Nikhil Bohra, it was more comfortable for him in the second.
In the Junior Max category, a 15 lap race, the first heat was claimed by Akash Gowda, while Pradyumna V Danigond and Paul Francis were second and third respectively. In the second heat, Yash Aradhya, Mohammed Nallwala and Aanjan Patodia were the top three finishers.
In the 15-lap Senior Max class, the winner in the first heat was Ameya Bafna. Vishnu Prasad and Nayan Chaterjee finished second and third respectively. Dhruv Mohite won the second heat, with Nayan Chaterjee and Ricky Donison finishing behind him in that order.
COIMBATORE: Mohit Aryan of Anish Racing team comfortably won the opening race in the Formula LGB 1300 class with ease to start his weekend in the third round of the MMSC FMSCI Indian National Racing Championship on a rousing note, here on Saturday.
In Indian Junior Touring Cars race, experienced 29-year old Fahad Kutty from Mumbai’s Team Game Over, took the honours after starting third on the grid while Abhinay Bikkani from Bengaluru, representing Team Race Concepts, topped in the Super Stock class.
Earlier, in the MRF FF1600 class, Goutham Parekh stunned his rivals to claim a dominating pole position. Parekh started in a perfect manner with his title rivals Arjun Narendran and Karthik Tharani Singh qualifying in third and fifth positions, respectively, while Chetan Korada had his best qualifying session of the series and will start in second place.
The MRF MoGrip FMSCI National Supercross Championship 2015 will be held in Coimbatore and will be the 2nd round of the 6 round National FMSCI Supercross Championship 2015. The biggest off-road 2 wheeler National Racing Championship of 2015 was launched in Ahmedabad last weekend with the inaugural round. A record number of 150 entries were received in Ahmedabad.

New Delhi, June 18, 2015: Round 1 of the 12th JK Tyre-FMSCI Rotax National Karting Championship is all set to kick start in the brand new Chicane circuit at the Leonia Holistic Destination in Hyderabad on June 20-21, 2015.
The championship in its 12th successive year is the only national karting championship in the country. It has been a training ground for racers like Armaan Ebrahim who is now all set to compete in the Blancpain Lambhorghini Super Trofeo Asia series, Jehan Daruvala who is preparing for the next round of racing in Austria on the formula 1 track of Spielberg, Arjun Maini who managed a top 10 finish at round 4 of the FIA European Formula 3 series, Kush Maini who recently raced in the CIK-FIA European KF-Junior Championship and Shahan Ali Mohsin who finished fifth in the 4th round of the Rotax Max Challenge Asia Karting Championship 2015. These drivers have started their motorsport careers from this championship, and are currently performing exceptionally well in the international level.
Spread over five rounds, the 2015 season of JK Tyre National Karting Championship will be hosted across karting tracks in Hyderabad, Coimbatore & Bengaluru.
Hyderabad also cited as the karting capital of the country boasts of having three professional karting tracks, the maximum in any city across the country. Chicane circuit is Hyderabad’s brand new karting track and the JK Tyre National Karting Championship is the first major event that will be hosted at the track. 1.2 kms in length & 8.5kms in width with 12 corners, the Chicane circuit is the perfect circuit to start the exciting season of karting.
The karts this year will run on the new Evo Max engines which will elevate the karts performance which will in turn upgrade the driver’s performance.
Over 45 participants from across the country will be participating in the championship which will be held from June to October this year across various karting tracks in the country. Leading professional karting teams of the country namely Rayo Racing from Mumbai, Meco Racing from Chennai, Mohites Racing from Kolhapur, BPC Racing from Bangalore and Dark Don Racing from Chennai will be lining up their drivers on the grid for the much awaited battle to win the coveted championship title. In addition to the five teams, there will be two new teams entering the championship this year namely Erda Racing from Baroda & Team India Karting from Bangalore.
COIMBATORE: After a gap of three months, the MMSC FMSCI Indian National Racing Championship resumes with the third round to be run here over the weekend at the Kari Motor Speedway with over 50 drivers in the fray.
With five races in the single-seater category, including the Formula LGB 1300 which is part of the National championship that the MMSC has been organizing for about two decades, and the MRF Formula F1600 series which will be run on the same weekend, there is plenty of action in store for racing enthusiasts.
The National Championship comprises competitions in the Formula LGB 1300 powered by Swift engine and saloon car class which in turn has three separate categories – the Super Stock (stock), Indian Junior Touring Cars (1600cc) and the Indian Touring Cars (modified).
The MRF F1600 sports a 1.6 litre Ford Duratec engine putting out 140 horse power and fitted with a Hewland five-speed sequential shift gearbox.
The previous two rounds held at the MMRT circuit which is celebrating its 25th year, in Sriperumbudur, were marked by close, wheel-to-wheel racing and much the same is expected at the smaller and tighter Kari Motor Speedway track.
NASHIK: As expected, reigning National champion Gaurav Gill and co-driver Musa Sherif claimed the Overall title by a sizeable margin in the Mahindra Adventure Rally of Maharashtra, the second round of the FMSCI Indian Rally Championship which concluded here on Sunday.
Gill, the 33-year old Delhi-based 2013 Asia Pacific champion sealed his fifth Rally of Maharashtra title after the two concluding rounds of the Spectator Special Stage that were run on Sunday, winning by a margin of three minutes, 59 seconds.
While Gill cruised to victory in the Rally organized by the Western India Sports Association, the drive of the day came from Mangaluru’s Arjun Rao Aroor (co-driver Sathish Rajagopal) who, piloting the Volkswagen Polo R2 made up a 10-second overnight deficit and pipped Mahindra Adventure’s Amittrajit Ghosh (Ashwin Naik) by just one second to finish second Overall.
Ghosh and Aroor were tied going into the final run of the Spectator Special Stage. “I just didn’t think how much time I had to make up, but drove the car to its limits. I am extremely happy that I managed to make one place to finish second,” said Aroor.
